Matt is an Investment Director with Connecticut Innovations (CI), a seed and early-stage firm consistently ranked by Pitchbook and CB Insights as one of the most active venture groups in the US.

Prior to joining CI, Matt was an investor at Excell Partners and also helped to launch two other seed funds in Rochester, New York.

Earlier in his career, Matt co-founded a Wake Forest University spinout called Creative Bioreactor Designs, Inc., a startup tissue-engineering R&D firm that he successfully guided through its initial bootstrapping phase and fundraising efforts in order to commercialize and sell three novel product platforms.
